About Stu's Wood
Stephen, here. I started Stu's Wood as a hobby in 2011, making various tables and whatnots for friends. I continued my woodworking off and on until October '16 when I made a custom piece for a friend that got a lot of attention on my Facebook and Instagram. It's been nothing but growth and gaining experience since then.
I pride myself on providing a genuinely custom handmade product. I think there's something special in making something for someone that is meaningful and will last. This comes in large part to two of my biggest inspirations, my dad and grandpa. I still have pieces that my Grandpa made me 25+ years ago. If I ever need to bounce ideas off of someone, I know I can count on Dad to point me in a direction I might not have seen. Both are remarkably hard-working and resourceful men that I look up to and aspire to be someday.
When I'm not out in the shop recklessly destroying my various appendages, I spend my free time mostly just vibing out with my wife and cats.
